What bare metal buys over a VPS
No hypervisor. Nobody else on the CPU, nobody else on the disk, and no noisy-neighbour variance in your p99. For anything with a latency budget — a database primary, a chain node keeping up with the tip, a trading process — this is the difference between predictable and mostly predictable.
It also changes the security picture in a way that matters for this audience. On a VPS, the hypervisor operator can in principle read guest memory. On bare metal with LUKS2 keyed at first boot over the console, there is no such interface, and an operator with physical access to a running machine still faces a cold-boot attack rather than a memory read.
Provisioning and control
Every dedicated server includes out-of-band IPMI with HTML5 KVM and serial-over-LAN, reachable when the operating system is not. You can mount an ISO over virtual media and install anything, including an image you built yourself and we have never seen.
Delivery is 15 to 90 minutes depending on configuration and location. Stock machines in Amsterdam, Bucharest and Sofia are usually racked and burned in already; the dual-socket CITADEL-X is built to order.

Choosing a location for bare metal
Bulgaria and Moldova give the best price per core. Amsterdam gives the best network if you are moving serious volume. Iceland gives the strongest legal posture and runs on geothermal and hydro power, which matters if you are running something power-hungry for years.
Switzerland is the choice when you need an address that survives a compliance conversation, and Panama when you need distance from European enforcement specifically.

Yes, at no charge on every plan. Mount any ISO over virtual media through IPMI and install what you like, including a hardened image you built yourself.
03 Do you have access to my encrypted disk?
No. With LUKS2 at provision you enter the passphrase over the out-of-band console at first boot. The key never transits our systems and is not recoverable by us — if you lose it, the data is gone.
04 Is bandwidth really unmetered?
On CITADEL-X, yes — 25 Gbps unmetered. Other plans carry generous monthly allowances from 30 to 150 TB. Overage is billed at $0.85/TB rather than the port being throttled or cut.
