Transparency report

Legal requests received, by jurisdiction. How many we complied with, how many we challenged, and precisely what data compliance produced. The last column is the one that matters and it has said the same thing every quarter.

Answer

Incognito VPS publishes quarterly figures on legal requests received, by jurisdiction, along with how many were complied with, how many were challenged, and what data was produced. In every quarter published, the data produced has consisted of an Argon2id token hash and an account balance, because no other customer data exists.

§01 Legal requests

By quarter and jurisdiction

Legal requests by quarter
Quarter Received Jurisdictions Complied Challenged Accounts Data produced
2026 Q2 11 NL 5, RO 3, BG 2, CH 1 4 3 4 Token hash + balance
2026 Q1 9 NL 4, RO 3, BG 2 3 2 3 Token hash + balance
2025 Q4 14 NL 7, RO 4, BG 2, IS 1 6 4 6 Token hash + balance
2025 Q3 8 NL 4, RO 2, BG 2 3 1 3 Token hash + balance
2025 Q2 12 NL 6, RO 3, BG 2, CH 1 5 3 5 Token hash + balance
2025 Q1 7 NL 3, RO 2, BG 2 2 2 2 Token hash + balance

“Token hash + balance” is the complete answer, not a summary of it. The account table holds an Argon2id hash, a USD balance, a list of server identifiers and a creation timestamp. There is no name, email address, phone number or payment identity, because those columns do not exist in the schema. See the full field list

How to read this

Automated notices citing US statute at non-US servers receive a reply identifying the applicable jurisdiction. Notices identifying a specific work and a claimant with standing under local law are forwarded to the customer with a 72-hour response window.

The gap between 4,187 received and 241 actionable is not us ignoring things. It is the difference between a bulk automated filing citing US statute at a server in Chișinău and a notice that identifies a specific work and a claimant with standing where the hardware actually sits.
