- **Impact:** Intermittent packet loss to 30% of OTP-1 for 22 minutes.
- **Cause:** A transit provider maintenance window ran long and BGP reconvergence oscillated.
- **What changed:** Added a third transit provider at OTP-1 and lowered our BGP dampening thresholds.

### 2026-01-08 — Subsea cable cut (Panama City)

- **Duration:** 96 minutes
- **Impact:** PTY-1 latency to Europe rose to 280 ms for 96 minutes; no packet loss.
